Frequently Asked Questions About the Studio

Q: Are you accepting new students?

A: Interested students and/or parents are always welcome to connect with me about potential openings. Please submit a request on the Contact page, and I will get back to you quickly.

Q: Where is your piano studio located?

A: The studio is located in Cranberry Township, PA, conveniently located near many neighborhoods in the North Hills. It is about five minutes from the Cranberry Exit of I-79, Graham Park, and Thorn Hill Industrial Park!

Q: What is your lesson schedule?

A: Weekly private piano lessons are offered for 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length. Schedule days and times vary based on the school year.

Q: What is your make-up policy?

A: Lessons can be rescheduled if given at least 24 hours notice. While no refunds or credits will be given for missed lessons, make-up lessons are welcomed and encouraged.

Q: What is your practice policy?

A:  Practice is essential! It’s the way that the brain works! In general, students need to practice at least 60 minutes (Pre-Kindergarten) to 180 minutes (High School and above) each week in order to make progress. The more difficult the music, the more time is required to learn it. More specific direction about how to practice will be given during lessons.

Q: Do students need their own piano?

A: Yes, having a piano or keyboard at home is essential. I'm happy to provide general guidance about purchasing an instrument.

Q: What are your fees?

A: Fees vary based on lesson length and individualized student materials. Please reach out to me via the Contact page for more information.

Q: Are any student references available?

A: I will gladly provide references upon request.
