About Anne
I have loved playing the piano for as long as I can remember. My grandparents bought a piano for my siblings and me when I was 6 years old. At the age of 14, I accepted my first music-related position as an organist at a local church. After graduating from college with degrees from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Special Needs Education and Music, I taught elementary students in public schools to read and write while also giving private piano lessons after school. Later, while working on an additional degree in Elementary Education and teaching in the Elementary Education Department at Duquesne University, I continued to give lessons and remained actively involved with various piano performance opportunities.
I officially established my full-time Cranberry Township studio in 2011. My mission is to share the joy and value of music by providing high quality, enthusiastic and individualized piano instruction. My curriculum is customized for the learning style and level of each student. Lessons are available year-round, structured primarily around the school year calendar. Students have opportunities to perform at my annual recital and also engage with students at various events throughout the year. I am also an active member of the music community in Pittsburgh and have held multiple leadership positions with the Pittsburgh Piano Teachers Association.
